中秋節(jié)演講稿英文

when the mid-autumn festival is near, shop windows are beautifully decorated. many "moon cakes" are displayed for people to buy. people send presents such aswine, fruits and "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives

The mid-autumn festival has all interesting history. long ago in one of the dynasties of china there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not manage the country well. the people were so angry that some brave ones suggested killing the king. so they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time and put them into cakes. on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the cakes. when they ate them they discovered the notes. so they gathered together to make a sudden attack on the king. from then on the chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat "moon cakes" in memory of that important event.

when the mid-autumn festival is near, shop windows are beautifully decorated. many "moon cakes" are displayed for people to buy. people send presents such aswine, fruits and "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives. in the evening of the day, they have a feast. after the feast, they go out to the garden to look at the moon. the children run and laugh on the streets.

it is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. many poems have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing such poems. in chinese literature, the moon of the mid autumn festival has been compared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. it seems that chinese literature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.

中秋節(jié)演講稿英文版

Maybe I seem less mature or experiences than my most colleagues. But I still believe age is not important. Compared with age, passion energy and confidence are more significant!

Admittedly, life has its ups and downs, its peaks and valleys. So I encountered certain difficulties in the work. However, I strongly believe the best way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal. Direction means objectives. The right direction is like a lamp. This lamp can guide you in darkness and help you overcome obstacles on your way. Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead.

I never fear difficulties or failures. Because I believe success is going from failure to failure without losing passion. In fact, the ultimate failure is not trying, for it means you can never make progress toward your goals. As long as you keep trying and go ahead toward your direction, you will succeed and have a bright future. Just remember never give up or lose hope because nothing is too easy. Rainy days will end and the sky will be beautiful again.

In short, everyone should have a direction and keep this direction, no matter what difficulties he or she will encounter.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all good health and success in your career.

And you know it is a specially day, which is the Mid-autumn Festival, so I wish you all and your family a happy Mid-autumn Festival.

Thanks so much! That is all!

First of all, I’d like to talk about the importance of speaking good English and share my experience in learning English with you. As you know, English has become an international language. Wherever you go, English is always commonly used. It is convenient to know the language. At the same time, English may be the most important factor in deciding which countries are leaders in the future. The language of the most advanced management and technology is undoubtedly English. Being able to absorb this information is really the key to the new century. In the 21century. We can’t go there and speak our own language because nobody is going to learn it in order to understand us. Our Asian rival, India, has surged ahead of other developing countries in information technology because of its superior English skills. Unlewe are able to master English, we will not be able to get our population to use IT and take advantage of the new economy. There is an urgent need to have a workforce which is proficient in the language in view of the information technology onslaught.

Second, about learning English, I think laying a strong foundation is the first and most important step. In other words, you should read and speak English every day. Memorizing new words and phrases is also helpful. Of course, learning English takes some time, so don’t be impatient. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. And then since English is not our native tongue, we must develop the muscles of your speech organs to produce unfamiliar sounds. When you read, read as loudly as possible, as clearly as possible and as quickly as possible. Tongue muscles’ training is of importance in learning any foreign language.

Third, if you want to speak good English, please don’t care how poorly well you speak, only care about catching the chances to speak. You must enjoy losing face, just forget about your face. The more you speak, the better your English will become. The more mistakes you make, the more progreyou will make. You must enjoy speaking poor English, because speaking is the only thing that will lead you towards success. Don’t give up. Just try your best. Every time you move your mouth, your memory will deepen, your muscles will strengthen. You can make it.

I have made a considerable amounts of public English speaking in my life, I am often asked why the crazy English method is better than other methods or if the crazy English method will help all English learners. My answer is, the method will help the English learners because it is a perfect match with the Chinese principles of diligence, self-help and determination. Mere exposure to English will not enable you to speak English. If you want to drive you have to get in the car and drive, if you want to dance you have to turn on the music and dance, if you want to swim you have to jump in the water and swim. In fact, swimming is the perfect comparison to learning English. You can’t learn to swim by sitting in a room and reading books about swimming skills. In order to be a swimmer you’ve got to conquer you fear, you’ve got to survive and suck in water, yell for help, you’ve got to lose face many times before you can make it. But, to be a good swimmer you’ve got to practice again and again. To be a great swimmer you have to practice for years until you can harmonize every part of your body and mind.

hello! everyone!

now i want to talk about a beautiful world!

when i was young, i always dreamed that i lived in a beautiful country. there were many flowers and trees around our city. the sky was blue and fields were green. we could hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. the streets were clean and the air was very fresh! laughter was the language of the world .how nice it was! but that only was a dream of mine! how i wish that it would come true!

i'm worried about my country. there is pollution everywhere. it’s time to do something about it. we need fresh air to breathe. we need pure water to drink. we need a clean environment to be healthy. today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse. air, water and noise pollution have become more and more serious. “life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.”

have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground? have you ever drawn pictures on public walls? have you ever spat in a public place? if your answers are "no”, it means that you have already helped protect our environment.

it is our duty to keep our environment clean and tidy. you might ask yourself. have i ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin? have i ever planted any trees or flowers near my neighborhood? if your answers are "yes”, it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment. we should always remember that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. by protecting nature, we protect ourselves.

i have read the last leaf written by o henry. i couldn’t understand old behrman’s masterpiece until i met a gentleman that day.

last year, i took a speech training class in my spare time. before graduation, our teacher gave us an assignment of making a speech in public places. what a surprising test! it made me feel nervous and excited.

i and the other three decided to make a speech in the subway. it would be a perfect place to test our courage. however, when we stepped into the train, we became more and more nervous. although the passengers in the carriage were not so many, we still felt shy to begin our speech.

“can i act well? will they think i am crazy? will they laugh at me?” with all these questions, i forced myself to step out and stood in the middle of the carriage. my heart was pounding quickly, and my teeth were chattering. after taking a deep breath, i tried to make a self-introduction first. i found my pronunciation was not clear because of tension. no one paid attention to me except one, a foreigner! he was about 50 years old, wearing a blue suit and holding a briefcase. maybe he is a businessman. he stood in front of me. while noticing i was looking at him, he gave me a smile, with kindness, support, and encouragement. i felt quite warm in my heart and relaxed myself. i didn’t think he could understand my chinese speech, but his smile and attention gave me strength at that moment. i calmed myself down and continued. gradually, i found back the fun of speech. my voice was louder and louder because of confidence. more and more people began to look in my direction. the gentleman listened to me attentively throughout my speech. when i finished my speech, he clapped his hands to me. then, the passengers in the carriage applaud, too. i couldn’t help crying and dropping my tears. the train came to a stop at one station. the gentleman walked to me, gave me a big hug, as my father, and said, “you are great! come on!” after saying this, he got out of the train, before i could say thank-you to him.

in my opinion, love can be the support from a stranger, like the last leaf drawn by old behrman, like the smile given by the foreign gentleman. terri once said, “l(fā)ove is in front and all around us.” that is, love has no boundaries as long as you would like to give with sincerity.

hello! i wonder whether everybody knows the meaning of these two words of “ energy-conservation ” and “ low carbon ”? i assume as a matter of course and know. does “ energy-conservation ” save the energy? does “ low carbon ” reduce carbon emission? yes, it is really simple. we often chat about them. but, do you really understand them? have they really taken root on your bottom of heart deeply?

once, the earth mother left our rich energy to cause us to be jubilant, sighed on earth's energy inexhaustible, inexhaustible, now, the newest statistics indicated, the petroleum will dry up after 60 years, the coal also might supply the humanity to use for 250 years; once, developed first, the environment question the situation which neglected is often occurred, now, the sustainable development, was together harmoniously with the nature the biggest topic.not difficult to see, the environment question in is taken unceasingly by the people.for all this, the environment question was still stern, the energy conservation reduced the platoon, the low-carbon lives imminently.at the copenhagen climate congress, this affects the human destiny the question slowly to be unable to reach the agreement actually.in the life, is driving the great displacement automobile, purchases including the fluorine air conditioning, the refrigerator, including the phosphorus laundry powder, turns on the air conditioning the low temperature also one side to bind in the summer the quilt, the daylight lamp is being long all night clearly, water cock water drop sound day and night not rest ……these influence environment phenomenon common occurrence.this is rebels with ours position. american president kennedy has said: do not have to ask the country can make any for us, must ask first oneself can make any for the country.the low-carbon life needs everybody to participation!

the low-carbon life first is one kind of life manner.so long as wants, each person may be able to achieve! the electricity saving, saves gas and oil, the solar terms, saving water, the tree-planting, makes use of waste, by step generation of vehicle ……tthe intravenous drip, in life each aspect, all may choose the low-carbon life the manner.the low-carbon life is also representing one kind healthily, the more natural life style.little eats counter-season food, the generation by works as season food; little uses the disposable product, the generation by the duplicated things; little rides an overhead traveling crane, little sits one time the elevator, the generation rides the bicycle, crawls the staircase, while falls the low-carbon withdrawal, we will have a healthier body and mind.

we believed, so long as everybody works as one, participation together, humanity's tomorrow certainly will be able to be happier! schoolmates, today, your low-carbon?

this is a day of national consecration, and i am certain that on this day my fellow americans expect that on my induction in the presidency i will address them with a candor and a decision which the present situation of our people impeis. this is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly nor need we shrink from honestly facing the conditions facing our country today this great nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper so first of all, let me express my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, un justified terror, which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. in every dark hour of our national life, a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves, which is essential to victory and i am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.

in such a spirit on my part and on yours, we face our common difficulties. they concern, thank god, only material things. values have shrunken to fantastic levels; taxes have risen, our ability to pay has fallen, government of all kinds is faced by serious curtaiiment of income, the means of exchange are frozen in the currents of trade; the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side, farmers find no markets for their produce, and the savings of many years and thousands of families are gone.

more important, a host of unemployed citizens face the grim problem of existence, and an equal and great number toil with little return. only a foolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment.

and yet, our distress comes from no failure of substance, we are stricken by no plague of locusts. compared with the perils which our forefathers conquered, because they believed and

were not afraid, we have so much to be thankful for nature surrounds us with her bounty and human, efforts have multiplied it. plenty is at our doorstep, but a generous use of it languishes in the very sight of the supply primarily this is because the rulers of the exchange of mankind’s goods have failed, through their own stubbornness and their own incompetence, have admitted their failure and have abdicated. practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men.

true, they have tried, but their efforts have been cast in the patten of an outworn tradition. faced by a failure of credit, they have proposed only the lending of more money stripped of the lure of profit by which they induce our people to follow their false leadership, they have resorted to exhortation, pleading tearfully for restored confidence. they only know the rules of a generation of self seekers. they have no vision, and when there is no vision, the people perish.

yes, the money changers have fled from their high seats in the temple of our civiiization. we may now restore that temp1e to the ancient truths. a measure of that restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social value, more noble than mere monetary profits.

happiness lies not in the mere possession of money it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative efforts, the joy and moral stimulation of work no longer must be forgotten in the mad chase of evanescent profits. these dark days, my friends, will be worth all they cost us, if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered on to, but to minister to ourselves, to our fellow men.

recognition of the falsity of material wealth as the standard of success goes hand in hand with the abandonment of a false belief that public office and high political position are to be valued only by the standards of pride of place and personal profits, and there must be an end to our conduct in banking and in business, which too of ten has given to a sacred trust the likeness of callous and selfish wrong-doing. small wonder that confidence languishes, for it thrives only on honesty on honon on the sacredness of our obligation, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. without them it cannot live.

restoration calls, however, not for changes in ethics alone. this nation is asking for action, and action now.

our greatest primary task is to put people to work. this is no unsolvable problem if we take it wise1y and courageously it can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the government itself, treating the task as we would treat the emergency of a war, but at the same time, through this employment, accomplishing greatly needed projects to stimulate and reorganize the use of our great natural resources.

hand in hand with that, we must frankly recognize the overbalance of population in our industrial centers and by engaging on a national scale in a redistribution in an effort to provide better use of the land for those best fitted for the land.

yes the task can be helped by definite efforts to raise the value of the agricultural product and with this the power to purchase the output of our cities. it can be helped by preventing realistically the tragedy of the growing losses through fore closures of our small homes and our farms. it can be helped by insistence that the federal, the state, and the local government act forthwith on the demands that their costs be drastically reduce. it can be helped by the unifying of relief activities which today are of ten scattered, uneconomical, unequal. it can be helped by national planning for, and supervision of all forms of transportation, and of communications, and other utilities that have a definitely public character. there are many ways in which it can be helped, but it can never be helped by mere1y talking about it. we must act, we must act quickly.

and finally in our progress toward a resumption of work, we require two safeguards against the return of the evils of the old order; there must be a strict supervision of all banking and credits and investments; there must be an end to speculation with other people-s money; and there must be provisions for an adequate but sound currency.

these, my friends, are the lines of attack. i shall presently urge upon a new congress in special session, detailed measures for their fulfillment, and i shall seek the immediate assistance of the 48 states.

through this program of action, we address ourselves to putting our own national house in order, and making income balance outflow our international trade relations, though vastly important, are in point of time and necessity secondary to the establishment of a sound national economy i favor as a practical policy the putting of first things first. i shall spare no effort to restore world trade by international economic readjustment, but the emergency at home cannot wait on that accomplishment.

the basic thought that guides these specific means of national recovery is not narrowly nationalistic. it is the insistence, as a first consideration upon the inter-dependence of the various elements in all parts of the united states of america - a recognition of the old and the permanently important manifestation of the american spirit of the pioneer. it is the way to recovery it is the immediate way it is the strongest assurance that recovery will endure.

in the field of world policy i would dedicate this nation to the policy of the good neighbor. the neighbor who resolutely respects himself, and because he does so, respects the rights of

others. the neighbor who respects his ob1igation, and respects the sanctity of his agreement, in and with, a world of neighbor.

if i read the temper of our people correctly we now realize what we have never realized before, our inter-dependence on each other, that we cannot merely take, but we must give as well. that if we are to go forward, we must move as a trained and loyal army willing to sacrifice for the good of a common discipline, because without such discip1ine, no progress can be made, no leadership becomes effective. we are all ready and willing to submit our lives and our property to such discipline because it makes possible a 1eadership which aims at the larger good. this, i propose to offet we are going to larger purposes, bind upon us, bind upon us all, as a sacred obligation with a unity of duty hitherto evoked only in times of armed strife.

with this pledge taken, i assume unhesitatingly, the leadership of this great army of our people dedicated to a disciplined attack upon our common problems. action in this image, action to this end, is feasible under the form of government which we have inherited from my ancestors. our constitution is so simple, so practical, that it is possible always, to meet extraordinary needs, by changes in emphasis and arrangements without loss of a central form, that is why our constitutional system has proved itself the most superbly enduring political mechanism the modern world has ever seen. it has met every stress of vast expansion of territory of foreign wars, of bitter internal strife, of world relations.

and it is to be hoped that the normal balance of executive and legislative authority wi1l be fully equal, fully adequate to meet the unprecedented task before us. but it may be that an unprecedented demand and need for underlay action may call for temporary departure from that normal balance of public procedure.

we face the arduous days that lie before us in the warm courage of national unity in the clearest consciousness of seeking all and precious moral values, with the clean satisfaction that comes from the stern performance of duty by old and young alike, we aim at the assurance of a rounded, a permanent national life.

May is a symbol of Spring when the wild geese fly north and the gardens are full of flowers.

The general strike of workers for eight-hour workday in 1880s in the western countries gave birth to Labour Day!

We should sow the south mountain after sowing the north mountain. How can we show our favoritism when help our neighbors sow There will be less wasteland if everyone does as what I do. This is a poem which described people’s working life in the mountain area. Their collaboration in working shows their diligent and brave spirit. Work creates man, work creates beauty, and it is also work that creates our better life. Since ancient times, the Chinese create our splendid Chinese civilization with their hands. It is work that gives us the precious material and spiritual wealth.

It is the sweat and diligent work of thousands of workers that build the modern buildings and highways and change wastelands into fertile fields. These workers include our parents, our teachers as well as the cleaners in our school. On the coming of Labor Day, please give our sincere wishes to all the workers when we enjoy this lovely spring and our happy life.
